General Instructions
Presentation Language | The language of presentation and discussion is English only. |
Presentation Duration | Duration of the oral presentation is SEVEN (7) minutes, followed by THREE (3) minutes of discussion. |
Operating System and the Format | The presentation must run on the WINDOWS operating system and should be prepared in .ppt/.pptx format (Microsoft POWERPOINT 2013 and above versions) only. If you use videos, use a common video format (MP4 format is preferable). |
Submission of Presentation | Name your POWERPOINT presentation file using your Abstract Number, followed by the first author’s name, and the Track name. Additionally, save a PDF version of the file. E.g. 283_A.B.C. Silva _Varietal Innovation and Seed.ppt 283_A.B.C. Silva _Varietal Innovation & and Seed.pdf Submit both PPT and PDF files of your presentation via CMT on or before 10th May 2025. In addition, please bring a backup copy of your presentation to the conference on a USB media storage device. |
Content of the PowerPoint Presentation
You may choose a flow for the presentation. The following flow is appropriate to deliver an effective message about your important research.
a) Title Slide: The first slide should include the Title, Names and Affiliations of the authors. On the top left corner, include the InCAPM logo, Track Name and the Abstract Number.
b) Introduction: Brief background, research question, and the objective
c) Methodology: Outline key methods, tools, or frameworks used appropriately.
d) Results and Discussion: Present key findings and interpret the results using clear visuals.
e) Conclusion: Summarize main findings highlighting their significance.
f) References/ Bibliography
g) Acknowledgement: Include if necessary, only (e.g. funding source
Font | Stick to sans-serif fonts for clarity: Calibri, Arial, Helvetica, etc. Font should be in a readable size (at least 24pt for the body of the text and 32 to 40pt for headings) and colour to achieve good contrast to the background colour of slides. |
Charts, tables, and graphs, Images/ photographs | The charts, tables, and graphs used in the PPT should be adequately labelled and of high quality, clear, and readable. Images/ photographs and videos should be of adequate resolution. |
